Your cover is fine. The foam isn't.

Dog beds rarely wear out from the outside. The cover washes, the stitching holds, the zip still works — and the foam underneath has gone flat, so your dog is sleeping on the floor through a bag of fabric.

This is the part that wears out, made properly, in the sizes the common beds use.

TWO LAYERS, TWO JOBS

A high-resilience support base at 33 kg/m³, with 2 cm of visco-elastic memory foam at 60 kg/m³ bonded on top.

The base carries the weight and holds its shape. The memory layer spreads pressure across the hips and elbows, where an older dog feels a hard floor first.

Almost every dog bed sold in the UK says "memory foam" and "high density". Very few say what the density is. Ours are printed above, because we would rather you compared them.

Small and Medium are 10 cm deep. Large, Extra Large and XXL are 15 cm.

THE COVER

Black. Waterproof, fire retardant, zipped, machine washable.

If you are keeping your own cover, order the mattress to match its internal size and ours stays in the box as a spare.

THE BASE

Non-slip backing sewn in, fire retardant to BS5852. It stays where you put it instead of travelling across the floor every time the dog turns round.

Measure the inside of your cover, corner to corner, and send us the length, width and depth. Every one of these is cut to order anyway — your size is simply a different set of numbers, at no extra cost.
